Written by geotechnical engineers
Every sheet, column and default comes from real site investigation work, not from a generic reporting tool bent into shape. The conventions match what your office already signs.
Your data never leaves the machine
No account, no cloud, no telemetry. Projects are plain files in your Documents folder, so client data stays inside your organisation and the software works on a site with no signal.
Calculations you can check
Intermediate values stay visible rather than hidden behind a single answer, because the engineer who signs the drawing is the one responsible for it.
Shaped in public
Feature requests, bug reports and the roadmap are open. Imperial units and rock coring both entered development because practising engineers asked for them.
Free where it matters
The borehole logging program is free for version 1.x — commercial or academic, no key, no expiry. Students and small consultancies get the same tool as everyone else.
One data model, four programs
The profile logged in the field is the profile the laboratory, foundation and seismic tools read. Nothing is exported, re-typed or reconciled by hand.
Built in Salt Lake City, used wherever the ground is uncertain.
GeoEQ is a small studio focused entirely on geotechnical engineering software. The first program, SPT Logs, was written to replace the fragile spreadsheet templates most site investigation reports still depend on — and released free so that a consultancy of one is not stuck with worse tools than a consultancy of a thousand. The laboratory, foundation design and seismic programs follow the same rule: match the standard, show the working, keep the data local.
